Hi, everyone. I have so many messages/Deviations in my inbox that I'm not sure what to do with them. But I just wanted to stop by DA and say hello.
My cat, Freckles, passed away last month. I drew this a few weeks ago after the fact. Her health had been slipping for a while so her passing didn't come as a shock. Though that didn't make it any easier to cope with.
I think I remember Freckles from your old artworks.
I'm a bit worried about my namesake (Shadow), who lives with my parents - her health is okay, so I hear, but she is an old cat. It's just, I remember your art from waaaay back and how you'd include Freckles and.... it feels like we're all getting old?

We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

She was a sweet, special cat and I consider myself blessed to have had her for as many great years as I did.

I'm glad to know Shadow is doing okay, even if she is older. I hope she continues to do well!
